How to import your inventory (CSV)
By Big Toy Market Team
Got a spreadsheet of boats, RVs, cars, powersports or aircraft? On every paid Big Toy Market business plan (Starter, Pro and Unlimited) you can import the whole lot with a CSV — preview every row first, then create or update listings by stock number. Photos pull in from your links automatically.
1. Open Inventory import
Sign in to your business account and go to Inventory import. That page is where you upload a one-time CSV and where you can also connect an automatic feed later.
2. Use the CSV template
Download the CSV template from the import page. Fill one row per unit with the columns buyers need — stock number, category, title, price, location and photo URL fields. Keep the header row exactly as given so the preview can map your columns.
3. Upload the file
Drop your CSV on the page (or choose the file). Nothing goes live yet. Big Toy Market only parses and validates the file so you can review the preview first.
4. Check the preview
The preview shows which rows are new, which will update an existing listing by stock number, which look unchanged, and which have errors to fix. Fix any bad rows in your spreadsheet and upload again if needed before you confirm.
5. Confirm to create or update listings
When the preview looks right, confirm the import. Listings are created or updated by stock number, and photo links are fetched and optimized for you. You can still edit any unit afterward from your listings.
6. Optional: connect an automatic feed
If your website or DMS already exports inventory, connect an automatic feed on the same import page. Supported formats include CSV, OpenMarine XML, and XML or JSON with a field map. Sync on a schedule (every 6, 12 or 24 hours) or on demand. Units that leave the feed can be marked sold, with safety checks so a broken feed never wipes your inventory.
